Python Job: Python Developer

Our client is an automotive AI (computer vision) automation technology company who build products used across Australia! Leveraging cutting edge technologies (including tech used by Tesla!) and Python, they provide solutions to solve interesting and challenging problems in the automotive industry.

They are looking for a Mid to Senior Developer to join them on a permanent basis to assist them with building out their product as they continue to grow and expand their customer base, delivering cutting edge technology in the AI space. This is a great opportunity for an AI enthusiast to stretch their skills and deepen their experience in this space.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, test, document, and support in-house developed complex and customised applications
• Research emerging technologies and ensure most effective development applications tools and methodologies are utilised
• Collaborate on monitoring application health and performance and troubleshoot systems and integration

Requirements:

• Strong technical knowledge of Python, YOLO V4/V5, Computer Vision Hardware (AI Optimised Cameras)
• Ability to build new Python applications from scratch, write basic SQL queries, and stitch together everything from the data layer to the UI
• Experience implementing REST API endpoints to serve data (ideally Django Rest Framework)
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms and DevOps Pipelines

If you also have experience with Qt, React.js, TDD and /or CI/CD tools, this would be desirables but isnt essential.

You'll be working with a team of enthusiastic technologists to deliver this innovative product within a business that is supported by its successful parent company with deep roots in this space.
